When I mentioned this to the front desk staff during check-out, I only got a shrug and a "sometimes that happens". It was too early for staff to be there, although it was technically open, and the main office was too far away to get help (this place is pretty spread out), so I could only look at the pool through the fence. I was looking forward to the pool, but I couldn't get in due to a malfunctioning key fob. The experience unique, but overall it fell short of expectations for $500+ room. The yurt was spacious, with A/C (much needed in the 100 degree heat) and a decent bathroom the king bed was a little soft and shaky for my taste. Fortunately, we hung onto our map and were able to find our place without much issue. As described in other reviews, parts of the property are spectacular, while other parts are a pretty rustic, and signage is generally lacking (or facing the wrong direction). Given that this is the only place to eat on the property, I'm curious how they handle a full restaurant and all the hungry guests. Our server was very apologetic about it, but in the end I thanked her and waved it off as one of those new norms as the service industry figures out a path to recovery from covid. While our drink order came out quickly, some confusion in the kitchen delayed our meal even though there were only a handful of diners at that point. ![]() The food was decent, albeit overpriced we were in a remote location with no other restaurants within 10 miles, so I'm willing to pay a little extra for the novelty. We arrived at the resort a couple hours early (before the concert) check-in was smooth enough and we were able to get into the restaurant (Tendrils) before they closed down lunch service. My wife and I stayed for one night in a yurt at the SageCliffe Resort while attending a concert at the Gorge. ![]() We’d love to visit again as the views and hikes are amazing, but with the lack of quality service, it’s not worth the price tag.… Hopefully in the next couple of years they can hire more experienced staff, a more experienced chef, and clean up their property a bit. While my husband and I had a great getaway, I’m not sure how soon we’ll be visiting again. I walked in and the front desk receptionist was eating her lunch (very unprofessional) and not the type of service I would expect for the price I was paying for my service. ![]() I was not impressed with the amenities or the staff. ![]() You are paying a premium price to stay at this hotel, services should match that. The staff is very young, they do not communicate to one another so you receive mixed messages, and the food is sub-par. The sunset and view was amazing!! With how much we were paying for our room and food, we expected the service, hospitality and food to be amazing. We arrived late Friday night and was able to get into the restaurant on the property for dinner. My husband and I went to stay at Sagecliffe for our second anniversary.
